Kaiwa is a Japanese word that translates loosely to conversation. This solid wood table, designed by Autonomous Furniture co-founder Kirk Van Ludwig, features angled ends that open conversation lines between friends seated around its creased-line edges. Trapezoid legs sit sideways under the tabletop, which features a biased wood grain finished with German hard wax oil. The Kaiwa table is available in Douglas fir or white oak for interior spaces, or in torched Western red cedar for outdoor use.
