The 1970 table series represent a collection of highly curated burl slabs air-drying since the late 1960’s. This limited collection includes pieces that each have their own unique grain and character. The natural curve and lifelines of the burl slabs are continued with the curved legs (available in clear acrylic or blackened hot rolled steel). This contrasting mix of aged burl with industrial legs, whether it be acrylic or steel, provides an elegant juxtaposition. The thickness of the burl slabs was adjusted to appear in equal proportion to the legs creating a formal balance.
