After five successful years at their previous location, creative allies Danisha Drury and Donna Morrison recently opened new doors to their interior design showroom, Design District Access (DDA). A carefully-curated resource of interior design products, at 2300-square-feet, their new location offers product samples necessary to create a thoughtfully designed residential or commercial space. With collaboration at the heart of their business ethos, Drury and Morrison connect design professionals, contractors, stagers and homeowners with top designer products, offering the latest lines in furniture, lighting, flooring (tile, hardwood, laminate, vinyl), decor, area carpets, wallcoverings and textiles.

Staffed by designers who understand your project needs, the showroom offers workstations for reviewing products. DDA will provide you with a quote for any product you find in the showroom or on their website. Their new user-friendly website is designed to allow you to create your project from anywhere; it provides the opportunity toupload pictures of any product you’re looking for and the staff at DDA will source it for you. “It’s like having a personal design assistant 24/7.” Ordering a product from the showroom or website is as easy as perusing the brand list, filling out an order form and gaining access to the latest products.

From bold Robert Allen patterns to couture Kravet swatches, the extensive wall of fabric samples is enough to make any design enthusiast swoon. An expanse of thoughtfully edited product samples include design aesthetics from traditional and ornate to bold and modern. Their comprehensive collection allows clients a thorough, hands-on experience boosting customer confidence and satisfaction.

As a lover of all things design, Drury recognized the need for an umbrella showroom in Victoria that would represent a number of suppliers, a one-stop-shop. “Individual showrooms are available in larger cities, but travelling from showroom to showroom to see products is time-consuming and costly for designers. At Design District Access, we have carefully selected products from many different suppliers and made them available both in person and online.”

To specify products and review plans, a natural light-infused boardroom is available as a private meeting space for design professionals to consult with their clients. “There is no charge for boardroom use, we only ask that designers call and book the space in advance.”

Morrison brings almost thirty years of design expertise to DDA and delights in all things new in the industry. Sourcing all the latest brands you might see on HGTV and home design magazines, their goal at DDA is to help designers find exactly what they envision. “We are here to streamline their process by saving them time and energy. We check stock, put products on hold and order samples for our customers.”

Proudly hosting the largest wallpaper library on the island, the design-obsessed owners are constantly watching for the latest products online and in magazines. “Now after five years in business, we are at the point where companies are approaching us to carry their lines on the island.”
